What do you wanna talk about..

Ask away. By no means I represent Islam, but will do my best to answer any query you might have.

EDIT: By the way, which religion do you represent, or is part of..?

I believe I'm well equipped to handle most scenarios here.

But, is there a discussion you have in mind? They wouldn't stay if there wasn't a discussion already, and if you simply want to bring someone over I could do that in a day.

I guess I'm buddhist (it's the only one that would take me).

My point is that the forum debates are pretty one sided and
that people should make an effort to break down the walls and
ask the people that know about Islam what they are thinking
rather than offering opinions.

edit... "ilm" (grin... oops...said Lim) is "Knowledge" and kind of drives the original teachings of Islam until Wahab and Saud met in the desert and formed their unholy alliance.

The "greater" jihad is the struggle with ones self to be a better, more godly soul.

The "lesser" jihad is the struggle against and the effort to kill unbelievers. It is the perversion of the directive that self defense is the will of god. This lesser jihad is the virtual base upon which the Brotherhood Of Islam is founded, in large part by the writings of Q'tb and the founding fathers of the movement.

The funny part is that this notion is only mentioned one or two times in the Quran and ilm is mentioned 387 or so times as the goal of all study.

Go figure. It was a sad day when Wahab met Saud. Sigh

Would be very interesting. Although I thought we had enough Muslim knowledge and reps here already.
