The latest GOP idea on immigration involves a path to citizenship for those children of immigrents who serve in the military,interesting idea, but I doubt it will go anywhere. Many far right republicans will not back this, and many democrats will view it as discriminatory since it targets only children brought to the USA illegally.
It's not often that I agreed with George W Bush on anything, but his second term immigration idea labeled a "rational middleground" was a pretty good one. Sadly this idea was defeated by members of his own party. Looks like we're back to square one on immigration.

Jobs and money. I hate the idea of national ID cards, but anything to punish employers who hire illegals. Dry up the jobs and illegals will go home.
