Q: What can I do to be sure my loved ones will be saved?

A: We are glad to know that you have a real burden and concern for your loved ones. We believe God has laid this burden upon your heart, and that He wants to work in their hearts and lives in response to your prayers. God desires that all come to the place of repentance and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that the Lord is "not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
The best thing you can do for your loved ones is to pray earnestly. We have the assurance of God's Word that "the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective" (James 5:16). It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to convict of sin, to show the possibility of being made right in God's sight, and to warn of the danger of neglecting salvation (see John 16:7-11). The Holy Spirit will be faithful to do His work in response to believing prayer, seeking out those whom the Lord has burdened someone to pray for.
Pray specifically that the Holy Spirit will give you the opportunity to share the message of salvation with your loved ones, or will direct someone else to them. The Lord is able to do this as shown in Acts 8:26-39 and 9:10-18.
It is of great importance, however, that you permit the life and love of our Lord Jesus Christ to be seen in you. This in itself will be a tremendous testimony to unsaved loved ones and friends, and will prepare the way for a presentation of the Gospel. Jesus said, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16, NKJV).

Another plagiarized post. Of course this one from Billy Graham (isn't he dead yet?).

Is it too hard to cite your sources, RBHILL? You obviously know how to copy and paste text from the web, so why don't you include the URL of the material you steal?

I hope your not serious... In other words your saying, I would have done it myself, but I'm too lazy so I let someone else do it for me. Great way to show your faith... Saying "God bless you" doesnt always cover all bases...

Make sure they feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe
the naked, and visit the afflicted. That is, to treat others as they
would treat Christ.

See the Last Judgment involving All Nations St Matthew 25:31-46.

P.S., No citation needed. It was my own thought, not someone else's.

Hey, no problem. 😀

Out of curiousity, do you plagiarize the work you turn into your community college instructors as well?

Less then 5% of population feeds the hungry.

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

So not that many will make it to Heaven.

That's right, because they didn't feed the hungry, cloth the naked,
and comfort the afflicted like Jesus said that All Nations
should do.

I've heard that the best tables are near the side gate, because it's less noisy there. The paparazzi hang out near the wide gate, so it's best to go through the kitchen.

That is where Jesus comes in and forgives you and gives you ETERNAL LIFE through HIMSELF.

Yes, He grants it in spite of your sinfulness for all the times
you didn't help the poor. He knows you can't be perfect and
forgives you for it. But don't think for a minute that you're
going to be a sheep just because you said, 'I love Jesus.' You
better show it by feeding the hungry, &c. Otherwise, you're a
goat.

Sometimes I wonder Bbarr whether you are jealous of the Evangelicals. Are you jealous because they are so succesfull in American politics while the Neo-Kantians are nowhere to be seen, not even in the Ralph Nader camp ?

... or are you afraid of them, and hence your repeatedly misplaced saltless sort of "sarcasm" ?

I'm not jealous of evangelicals, despite their recent political success. Political tides shift, and I doubt they'll be able to affect policy substantially in the time that is allotted them. I am afraid of them, in the same way I'd be afraid of a pack of hyenas. You can't reason with either. Neo-Kantianism has little to do with public policy, so I'm not surprised you don't find many of them on the political scene. Liberalistic political philosophy is well-represented on the political scence, however, and that is good enough for me.

Cheers!

BBarr: " ..... in the same way I'd be afraid of a pack of hyenas."

..... or maybe you are referring to a pack of wolves ?

.... because Bbarr, you are really into it again, aren't you ?
