It was constitutional for decades and like everything in the constitution, was open for debate.

Next time maybe it will be the liberals' turn to leave guns to the states for example because they interpret the second amendment a certain way.

none of you seem to understand your own law process. Geez. Roe v wade ruling was that states can't ban abortion. 2 years ago the Supreme Court overturned that ruling allowing states to again ban abortion.

Please check section 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment for clarity; it specifically protects the People's rights from infringement by the States.
