Its not a huge issue but it is the topic of this debate: I don't think we should look at terrorist attacks as things we absorb and I certainly do not think it made this country stronger.
I do find it real interesting that people seem to think that WWII and 9/11 made us stronger.
EDIT - The military-industrial complex that recently executed Saddam Hussein was created by WWII my friend.

I don't live in fear (but I do understand that by commuting to work ever day) I am potentially risking my life.
I am not sure what we gained by executing Saddam Hussien and if it is 100% connected with 9/11. But whatever we gained, it in no way conterbalances the damages of terrorism.
Originally posted by AThousandYoungSo I look at 9/11 as an event where people were lives were lost, businesses were destroyed, freedoms are lost, billions are spent but wow we are strong we killed Sadam Hussien?
What we gained by killing Saddam and how connected it was to 9/11 is irrelevant. The strength it took to do that came from the MIC that was created by WWII.

There are people with guns at the top of Penn Station. There are street which are blocked off that never were before.
What freedoms were lost due to 9/11 specifically?
