Heard that the heroin production has risen since britain and the other western terrorist nations began their land grabbing there, anybody have thoughts on this? the british monarchy has tried to take afghanistan before due to the riches of drug running, somebody should study history more closer to see the hidden truth.
Yep, Afghanistan is one rich country. No wonder the Western world wants to take it over. Look at it. It is just flowing over with rich people all over the place. It's always been one of the richest countries in the world.
Having said all that, there is a lot of money to be made in the opium industry. I'm sure there are a lot of shady characters in high places throughout the world who want in on the action. Too bad the Taliban had to declare a jihad on the US. I guess after they defeated Russia they nothing better to do.

Although the Taliban are arguably back (though not to their pre-9/11 level of control over the country), I suppose that don't have the time or inclination to worry as much about secondary issues like drug production.
"Land grabbing" is a ridiculous term in this context. As Eladar said, Western countries have no interest on occupying or controlling Afghanistan except insofar as is necessary to neutralize the Taliban.
Originally posted by EladarI know they cracked down dramatically on it in the 90s. Maybe at this point, they are no longer interested in worrying about petty things like their religious morality and are more interested in surviving.
When I did a google search on this, I read articles that claimed that the opium profits were helping to fund the Taliban. I guess the need for money gets to us all.
