one of my teachers presented me with an idea that i'd never considered... al Gore running for president in 2008
think about it... he's been riding global warming as a political means, not because he cares about the environment
An Inconvenient Truth was obviously (though I hadn't noticed it before today) a political device
he is going to use his campaign against global warming as a means to lok like the god guy in 2008
let's see what happens if he comes over the news with his announcement
1. hillary clinton craps herself on the spot
2. congress cheers
3. republicans barf

and this is all because given another election, he would win easily...
americans are fed up with a republican in the white house (bush hasn't exactly been our greatest president) and last time, gore had won the popular vote, so we already know americans like him.
this would be bad...
we would have 4 years of a democrat controlled whitehouse and congress
considering the destruction in only the two years from '92-'94 with that scenario, oh my gosh...
it'd be rampant

I thought it was interesting when Al Gore ran for president again under the code name John Kerry...

If the 2000 elections were to be re-held today, Gore would win in a landslide.

So in 2008, if Gore runs, he will win by a landslide.

I beg to differ. The universe would explode in such a violent explosion that nothing would survive. Such is the nature of Time in mr. Einsteins Universe.

Unless you are just speaking like a kook and not literally.

He won't be running against Bush if he does decide to run, so anything is possible.

Your teacher may be on crack.

This is another case of the bland leading the bland.

Agree with him/her .. you'll get at least a C .. better yet, blow 'em in the cloakroom and jump all the way up to an A.

PS .. it ain't really sex.

Dear rubberjaw30,

Third grade is a special time in a young person's life. The best advise I can give you is: love your parents, don't fall in with the wrong crowd and pay attention to your teachers. Good luck in your future endeavors.

i wonder if there is an alternative to democraps and republicans. who was the last president that wasn't with either the big parties? because it seems to me that neither can offer much. democrats are a bunch of pansies and republicans have very red necks

It is a matter of democracy. What the hell do you expect of a government comprised of a 130 million voting member committee, half of whom can't read or write and half of whom never went to college so can at least think for themselves?

If you like certainty, move to China or Cuba or Venezuela. They don't have a problem with choice and terrible choices.

It ain't perfect. But you have every opportunity to change it. Get off your lazy ass and change it if you don't like it.
