how about rather than beat this topic into the ground, like abortion. How about stop arguing the result and try to find a way to stop people from wanting to kill each other? Really what point is it to complain at the end of the game about how to play but rather when you can actually changethe outcome?
In stead of arguing about how people rob and such because their poor or whatever how about figuring out how they can make a situation for themselves so they don't need that option? Perhapes make it less glamerous to be a gangsta and a thug and make it glamerous to be educated. And start actually punishing criminals instead of giving them a slap on the wrist. Punish them and make them an example to other and themself so when faced with a similar situation people will not want the consiquences that a violent crime "should" carry with it.

Does no-one else find it ironic that the country who loudest trumpets the benefits of democracy and how great its form of goverment is ... justifies gun ownership by using the 'need them to stop the govt from taking away our freedoms' reason?
(Although, with what this administration has done and is doing, the reason makes a little more sense now)

The following mind-boggling attempt at a crime spree in Washington, DC appeared to be the robber's first (and last), due to his lack of a previous record of violence, and his terminally stupid choices:
1. His target was H&J Leather & Firearms; A gun shop specializing in handguns.
2. The shop was full of customers - firearms customers.
3. To enter the shop, the robber had to step around a marked police patrol car parked at the front door.
4. A uniformed officer was standing at the counter, having coffee before work. Upon seeing the officer, the would-be robber announced a hold-up, and fired a few wild shots from a BB target pistol.
The officer and a clerk promptly returned fire, the police officer with a 9mm GLOCK 17, the clerk with a 50 DESERT EAGLE, assisted by several customers who also drew their guns, several of whom also drew and fired. The robber was pronounced dead at the scene by Paramedics. Crime scene investigators located 47 expended cartridge cases in the shop. The subsequent autopsy revealed 23 gunshot wounds. Ballistics identified rounds from 7 different weapons. No one else was hurt in the exchange of fire.

I believe that American style governments are the best in the world, I work for a flight school that foreign students come to to do training, and the stories I hear about their governments laws etc, are mind boggling. I dont blame them for wanting to move here. Some of the students that come here that are some of the richest kids from their country and envy my lifestyle, education, goverment, and freedoms.

1. Break into my liberal anti-gun neighbors house. The following happens.
Owner calls 911
911 operator puts you on hold
perpetrator ties up the home owner
second rape his wife
third steal his money and personal possessions
forth rape his daughter
2. Break into my house or other neighbors who own gun
First warn them you're armed
Second call 911
If the perpetrator continues shoot him
Hugg your wife and children
Pray that your aren't a liberal anti-gun and anti American
