By the way, some sources have claimed that the breakthrough for the Pfizer vaccine was made on German soil.

That can be disputed, I'm sure there is politics on all sides.
What can not be disputed is that the Trump administration dropped the ball on virtually every aspect of its' pandemic response.
Because they were busy with Trump's re-election, from the onset of the pandemic in Mar/2020 right up to Jan 6/2021.

Sorry to be the one to tell you but when the Biden team looked into the Trump plan they found there was ZERO in the way of plans and BTW, Trump refused to buy another 50 million doses so we were left in the lurch because the companies with the doses sold them to other countries. That created a two month long backlog that Trump could have fixed if he happened to have been a real person rather than an authoritarian assswipe who passed off the whole problem to the states.
"We are not the sales clerk to the country'' was his statement about getting federal help.
So you can spin it all you want but Trump did NOTHING and in fact downplayed the whole thing, maybe you remember the bit where he said it will magically go away, that was last year in February and he held that stance for the rest of the time he was in office.

Problem is he had been given the vaccine months earlier and there were already a million doses a day being given before he took office.
