am i right in saying all american sports dont have segregation with the fans...???
no, no, no.... you see you're suppose to, it's a team thing, all the supporters together, chanting, singing, cheering, crying... all the fans toghether as one, wanting the same... you have to have segregation with the fans, not to stop violence, but to encourage unity.
american sport fans have never experienced the joy of having 50,000 fans all together, singing the immortal words to the other set of fans... "we're better than you... and you know it"

All that hanging around, padding up and needing cheerleaders to make things at least slightly enjoyable.
However, nude cheerleaders and grenades instead of cricket balls (or whatever the hell they use over there) and knives to cut through body armour... now, that would be an American sport I'd watch.

While I struggle to understand the excitement of leaving a match feeling you supported your team better than the other supporters because you shouted more I'll accept that some people do.
I don't think it compares with the enjoyment I got from spending the evening with some French rugby fans after England had beaten them in the world cup sem-finals and I had bought them drinks after by way of commiserations. Or the evening spent with some Welsh fans after a Six Nations match a few years ago.
