Bovine excrement. If there was, can you provid the concise and clear definition that was officially used?

Funny you should omit the Oklahoma City bombing.

Terrorism: any intentionally violent action that does not serve the interests of the United States

People die in shark attacks but the risk of dying in a shark attack is negligible.
How many people who are attacked by sharks survive?

What are the chances you will be attacked by sharks va being in a terrorist attack?

Either was the USS Cole. Its about who were the targets. At the disco it was U.S. servicemen. The same goes for the Marine barracks bombing in Beirut.

Seeing as Bin Laden said the goal would be to get us to spend ourselves into bankruptcy:

"We are continuing this policy in bleeding America to the point of bankruptcy. Allah willing, and nothing is too great for Allah," bin Laden said "

I'd argue that the "war on terror" has been pretty successful from his (bin laden's) point of view.

If attacks on US servicemen outside of the USA count as terrorist attacks, then we've had plenty since 9/11.

Absolutely. The terrorists (and god damn... there's a lot of them around...) only have to realise that they should attack the financial markets via the internet and all hell will break loose.

Bah... the banks and the financial companies destroy themselves. They don't need terrorists to do anything, just credit default swaps and their already existing greed.

...especially since the nerds already have vaults of 'virgins' in chat-rooms and porn sites all over the net to not be tempted by paradise just yet....
