I take it you gave up on your novel? If it's too demanding maybe the gov't could write it for you.

Why would you think I've given up on my story?
Never done so before, don't see no reason on startin' now.

I think you're just wanting me to mail you something.

Please tell me as to where to pick up a copy of previous novels. Are they Googleized by chance? On YouTube?

We have to pace ourselves. It looks like it may be a marathon.

watching the US for details.

In Canada our mortgage rates just went up today as a result of all this. Our stock market is also down about 20%. Retirees and retirment pension funds are having to re-assess. My pension fund is looking at having to increasing our dues in order maintain the current benefit levels since our fund has lost so much money. Once the US announces the bailout packages, stocks should go back up so we're hoping they do it before our actuaries put out their report recommending higher payroll deductions to cover the losses.

Anyone who thinks this financial meltdown doesn't affect them is deluding themselves unless they own their business and have no money/pension in the stock market and wont' be renewing their mortgage in the next little while.

I think mainly it is because DSR hasn't been heard from in a while.

People must be paralysed with shock; can't say I blame them.

I'm not paralyzed with shock. At the moment I have more work than I can handle and it doesn't appear to be slowing at all. Now, talk to me in 3 or 4 months and we will see what is going on.

Actually, I should be working now, but a little chess break never hurt anyone.

I wouldn't say they're paralyzed with shock. It's just that our Congress doesn't do anything quickly. They might get something agreed on by this weekend, but there's no guarantee.

It's like I always say, revolution is good for the soul, however, all the reasons you storm the palace end up rearing their ugly heads again with the new regime. Therefore, maybe if we just let them destroy themselves and ignore them this time around they will just all go away for good. 😉
