Well, not trump anyways!

So, what does the white house say about Machado winning the peace prize?
A warm congradulations, perhaps?

From the Beeb:

In a post on X, Steven Cheung writes that US President Donald Trump "will continue making peace deals, ending wars, and saving lives".
The president "has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of his will".

Oh deary me. What’s worse here? The sycophantic rimming or the bad loser mentality?

The last three American winners were Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, and Barack Obama.

For Trump to even think that he had a chance is delusional.

Of course, he doesn't deserve it yet. If, by some miracle, he manages to stick the landing and facilitate peace between Israel and Gaza, they might have no choice but to give it to him next year. Of course, if he does that, he'll already be known as a miracle worker, and the Nobel prize will be a footnote.

I agree. But the way they are acting like it's already done, I doubt they have the attention span to stick the landing.

His plan essentially calls for a Hamas surrender and disarming without a Palestinian State.

That's a right wing Zionist dream not a plausible path to a lasting peace.

What did these three do?

Yes, it's a dream to think that Palestinian resistance groups are going to disarm without an agreement for a free and independent State.

You're the idiot to think it isn't.

“Resistance group”

Dont you mean hamas a terrorist organization?

Your using another term for them shows your true thoughts

Yeah, just like the Ukraine Russia peace deal huh dumb arse? 😆 Did that peace deal even last a week? And now look at it. Some idiots never learn hey Mott? 🙂
Interesting times to say the least.
Either way, I hope that the killing and murdering stops. Somehow with Trump in the middle of this right now makes me doubt that it will last for long. He's nothing but a liar con-man; and, it will catch-up with him sooner or later. The Epstein case will NEVER go away no matter how hard he tries. 🙂

Nothing.

That's my point.

Someone who gives a Nobel Peace Prize to Obama for basically just getting elected is not going to give it to Trump, almost no matter what.

Unfortunately, you're probably right.

I read this too, this morning, and had a huge laugh over it at breakfast.

Especially Cheung's post. You cannot make this sh-- up!

George Washington was a terrorist, according to the English.

The French resistance were terrorists, according to Adolf Hitler.

Nelson Mandela was a terrorist, according to the South African regime.

You do comprehend that one man’s terrorist, is another man’s freedom fighter?

Yes, they murdered, horrendously, 2000 Israelis. And the Israelis have murdered 65.000 Palestinians.

How many Palestinians were killed before the attack 2 years ago?

How many Jews have been persecuted in the last 2000 years? And by whom?

Which promises were made to which groups by nations filled with politicians who had never been in Palestine or Israel in their lives?

How many bloody children are you willing to condemn to a circle of violence?

The Japanese in WW2 were bastards. But so were the people who decided to murder women and children in Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

You lot have this idiotic sense that someone is either all good or all evil.
No nuance. No context. No accumulation of historical facts.

It’s not how life is.
Imagine, for a second, that this peace treaty holds and peace in Israel and Palestine flows forth from it.
That means that a corrupt, senile, narcissist, imbecile of a president did something no one before was able to achieve.

And then, in normal life, one would suggest: well, swings and roundabouts, I guess.

You are incabable of doing so.

You think of politics in a Star Wars sort of a way, but reality is dirty and complicated.
If you really want solutions, you have to look at the problem, the cause of the problem and find solutions in which each group feels recognised.

Such is the complication of matters.

Can't even be bothered to go look up why they gave it to Obama?
