The facts:
Teacher texts student.
Contents and subject of text unknown , not given in article.
Parents think text is inappropriate and complain to police.
Police sex crimes investigators look at texts and say there's nothing wrong with them.
Teacher (in a horrible case of bad judgement) goes to home to explain his side of story to parents. This appears to be the act of a man with a totally innocent mind set.
Father attacks teacher with baseball bat.
Press and comments condemn the teacher as a perv.
Anyone here old enough to remember the McMartin Preschool molestation case, where a half dozen teachers went to jail for years before being released because it was a media blow job?

The police actually said:

Police said an officer of the White Marsh Precinct read over dozens of texts that “described an emotional relationship that seemed inappropriate for a teacher and student,” according to a release from the Baltimore County Police Department.

Also according to police after the teacher went to the girl's house to talk to the parents:

"The girl's father told the teacher to leave, but the teacher refused,”

And then the father hit the trespasser with a baseball bat.

That's a bit more equivocal than your version. A 42 year old teacher sending dozens of texts that show an "emotional relationship" with one of his 15 year old students seems quite "inappropriate" to me even if it isn't criminal. And if someone tells you to leave their property, you should though depending on the circumstances hitting the guy with a baseball bat might be excessive force.

Ahh...thank you....that's a different article than the Huffington Post one and has information that's more damaging to the teacher.

Never mind.
