Yep, that's right, it is just the way it is. You can't blame it on politics. You can't blame it on the government sucking too much money out of the economy to try to pay for its social programs. You can't blame it on government rules and regulations that increase the costs of doing business. You can blame it on the government that says banks need to give loans that they know can't be paid back because everyone should have a home.
Get over it. Just accept this as the way things are supposed to be and accept being a subject of the new class.

If you look at the figures, private sector employment bottomed out in February 2010. Since then the economy has added 6.8 million private sector jobs.

I'm not sure why you use the "start of 2008" for "labor force participation". In any event, the population is getting older and more kids are going to college. Labor force participation is back to Reagan era levels which may be a good thing.
