There are a lot of people who are freeloading off the government, riding the coat tails of covid, who could be working instead. It's a pity.

This country is becoming lazy, using a pandemic as their excuse.

Edit: why go back to work when the government will pay you to lay on your couch instead?

The jobs are out there for people who actually want to work.

My post was not really directed at you, since you state you are retired. But, why are you collecting unemployment if you are retired??

Or, it's possible that the government is just paying anybody who applies, doing NO research into whether it's a valid claim.

Well, it's just my humble opinion, but anyone who is capable of working should be working...(if they are able to find employment).

But, the new trend seems to be, sacrifice your integrity for FREE money.

Integrity is what's lost.

He retired from the State, hence he gets a State pension.

You can work and still get Social Security benefits.
