It is a chilling realistic drama about how a real civil war 2 would look like, not Proud boys shooting it up with a handful of AR15, but tens of thousands of military troops fighting similar armies and the deaths and destructions that would bring just like 1863 but a lot more deadly weapons.
Here is my prediction if that disaster happened again:
First, we would no longer be world leaders, that would go right to China, and second, Russia, or China, or Iran would step in with their troops to try to end the US as a power forever and establish a new world order based on governments of shared dictators.
We would be so busy fighting each other with ten thousand man armies would not be able to stop a surprise attack coming from Alaska or right through Hawaii again and just run over us.
So I would hope people would read this and reflect on what that would mean to have civil war 2.
I see folks right here on RHP who would be EAGER to start such a war again not giving a rats ass about how many Americans would die or what foreign governments would do because they can't think past their own nose.
@sonhouse saidIt wasn't what I expected. The underlying premise is very old well trodden territory for film.

Basically just a generic war movie. The deer hunter was way better.
@wildgrass
Except for the part that it looked very much like it could look for real. Except for the part China or Russia or both would view this as a golden opportunity.
