With "The Donalds" approval rate at 35% and dropping, a recent string of embarrassing GOP off year election performances, and swing voters now preferring Democratic candidates by solid margins Democrats are beginning to smell blood in the water.
AOC checks just about every box on the Republican hate list. She's young, smart, Puerto Rican, a good debater, who has charisma, authenticity and the ability to draw huge crowds to see and hear her speak.
It's too soon to be handicapping the 2028 election, but AOC is quietly lining up support and building a framework for a run at the Whitehouse.
- and I'm all for it! 🙂
@mchill said"smart"? Not so sure about that.

Parroting empty platitudes about socialism with a kinds aorta capitalist backdrop and talking about what's wrong without really espousing solutions aside from "tax the rich" doesn't really make one "smart."
Her one foray into releasing a serious policy agenda, the Green New Deal, was a meandering, confused jumble of unworkable goals with no concrete plans to get there.
Maybe she'll grow into it, but she's not there yet.

Does this mean you would prefer a carotid artery parliamentary backdrop? 😏

@mchill saidAnd a woman. Don't forget that.

Trump has destroyed both women he went up against. Not just beat, but destroyed.
I doubt either of them could be elected for anything now.
Let's not throw another woman into the woodchipper.

We never hear this type of criticism about male legislators/candidates.
Like she's some kind of child. People are already against her for being young.
I understand this was JFK's strength, that he had "new ideas".
But women? "Maybe she'll grow into it."
@Suzianne saidOh, for crying out loud.

Is it possible to criticize a woman without the PC brigade calling you a misogynist?
If I say MTG is bat---t crazy or Sarah Palin is empty-headed, does that also make me a misogynist? Or are those things true?
She was basically an intellectual child when she first came on the scene. For a while, everything she said was something along the lines of "tax the rich."
Now she's growing into a more nuanced and thoughtful person, but she still has a ways to go.
When she first ran, she was (I believe) 27 or 28 years old and has no experience relevant to her job except for some sort of ill-defined volunteer role in a Bernie Sanders campaign. When she talked about the economy, at least in those days, it was plain that she didn't have the first clue as to what she was talking about.
If you think I wouldn't have said that about her if she were a man, you're just plain wrong.
@mchill saidAnyone but Gavin Newsom.

My top choices would be:
1) Andy Beshear
2) Amy Klobuchar
3) Tim Walz
These are serious people who will have to clean up the mess of a complete ***tshow of a dumpster fire in DC right now. AOC would make a good choice, though.
Also noteworthy, no one should want this job. It's like the 4-24 Tennessee Titans looking for a new head coach. Its going to take decades to rebuild what Trump destroyed.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidI don't believe you. Objectively speaking this has to be the worst first year a president has ever had. If that's his real approval rating among Republicans, then it only proves that it was a cult all along, and had nothing to do with the economy or inflation or public safety. It was only about trump.
@mchill
Mr. Donald's approval rate in the Republican party is 87%, Higher than Sleepy joe or Obama's approval rate in their own party after a year or two of taking over.
@Suzianne saidThe Lady-man Newsom will not cut it , either. Y'all got any men left.? That don't twinkle their fingers when waving on stage?
And a woman. Don't forget that.

Who are the men..Name one.
@Suzianne saidNew ideas. Who in the dem party has any ideas at all? Name their ideas, to better life for americans. You can't parrot Mamdani, because ideas like freezing rent or govt-owned grocery stores do not instill desire to produce, plans for growth!!!! A country must produce to be a country.

Don't mean to confuse you
@wildgrass saidNo one says culture anymore, it is now Group Trait...... since Omar and the slime muslims showed up, and they own MN.

Omar said one of their traits (on CNN) is stealing if they need somethng. This is how she justifies taking the $billion.
Yeah, said it is ok to steal
Have you heard the music that they 'sing' into the city parks a few hours each day. They aint like us. Warned you all about mixing cultures.
@Suzianne saidRemember Biden said his primary trait for SCOTUS judge was black woman. What a president!!!

Anyway, look what you got. Just her picgure will do, her words have alfeady been shown to be regarded with disdain by the other 8 judges. All of them.
