All the dems voted yea, get rid of that old law, TWO repubs did the same.
Repubs really have the pulse of the people eh.
@sonhouse saidSo we go back to a 15-week ban. I guess we're supposed to be happy about that now.

Katie was pleased as punch to sign the repeal this morning.
@sonhouse saidCodifying Roe v Wade into the Constitution would require a Constitutional amendment, which requires 2/3 of both houses and ratification from 38 states.
@Suzianne
At least they got rid of that draconian POS. I just hope Biden wins big enough to own senate and house, he will codify Roe V Wade into the constitution.
Doing it one century at a time. Now we are up to 1964, eh.
That's no more likely in the near future than a discovery that Mars is red because it's covered by an enormous blood ocean that the Vampires love to feast on.
@sh76
Well at least if Biden owns house and senate they can enact laws that will resurrect R V W which SCOTUS cannot take away. Maybe another ultrarightwingnut POTUS who also owns house and senate can reverse it but that would be years down the road and may not happen anyway. It doesn't need to be an actual amendment but would be great if that came about because of an overwhelming dem victory.
Not holding my breath of course.
@sh76 saidOr simply treating it as a fait accompli for 50 years. It was considered Constitutional at the time by the Supreme Court. It's rather cheeky for Alito, et al, to say that those Justices were wrong.

But the Supreme Court acts like it never heard of legal precedent.
@Suzianne
Oh, they know all about president but only use RIGHT WING president. Any of that cursed liberal crap, KILL IT. Like those SCOTUS scrotum pole assswipes siting a 15th century law in Britain as the reason to kill R V Wade.
