@Cliff-Mashburn saidI doubt it.
Imagine if they did that like the crew of Apollo 8 did when they went around the moon.
Wouldn't that make all the wokies heads explode?

"wokies"?? Is that like wookies?

Genesis 1:7-9
@Cliff-Mashburn
The mission is not even very impressive. So they are going to make an elliptical orbit on the far side of the moon. Other than that what is the big deal? They are not even going to land on the moon. And that was done in 1969 with computers that had much less computing power than our cell phones.
Perhaps the moon landing deniers were right and nobody really landed on the moon back then. They are too chicken shiite to land yet. They need a trial run first to do what was supposedly done in 69. Did the Eagle Moon Lander need a trial run?
@Metal-Brain saidYes, the lunar lander had two trial runs, once in low earth orbit with Apoll0 9, then again in lunar orbit with Apollo 10 where it descended to within 9 miles of the moon's surface.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidGreat. Now explain why they needed another trial run to do the same thing. Land on the moon.

@Metal-Brain saidDifferent equipment needs different test runs, perhaps?

You don't need to leap straight for the conspiracy like a bull at the gate!

@Cliff-Mashburn saidDid you notice the crew of Artemis II did invoke the bible yesterday in an interview?

I'm here to report that the wokies heads did not in fact explode.
@wildgrass saidJust wait. They will.

When Apollo 8 did it some jackass sued NASA for it, it got laughed out of court.
So will you.
@Sleepyguy saidI just don't like the hype. This is nothing special. It is a convenient distraction from the unprovoked attack on Iran and the ongoing mess. This has all been done before in the 60s , just a little farther away from the earth this time.

People should not be impressed by any of this. In fact, people should be making fun of it. Nobody needs a conspiracy theory to know this is a lot of lame hype. Wake me up when they start building a base on the moon. Then I will be impressed.
@Cliff-Mashburn saidSeems like we were MORE woke in the 1970s than we are now, seeing as how it offended people back then but not today.

@wildgrass saidArtemis 2 crew didn't read a passage from the bible.

Also I don't recall grown men that liked to wear dresses demanding they use women's bathrooms and locker rooms and getting widespread support from fuch heads like you, or giving small children puberty blockers so they could pretend to be the opposite sex.. .
@Cliff-Mashburn saidI literally remember this from when I was a kid in the early 80s, because a cross-dresser was peeing next to me. I think transgender people in the 1980s were shown a lot more respect from society than they are now. There was AIDS too, which was scary. Sure, it was different and quirky but also just an individual choice that someone has made to live their life differently. Who are we to judge.

Other than AIDS, culturally I think it was just curious and funny. There was a movie starring Rodney Dangerfield that came out in 1992 about his son playing on the girls soccer team so they could win. It was funny.
The biggest difference now is medical technology (e.g. hormone therapy) and the authoritarian backlash that thinks telling other people what to do will fix the problem. The culture has always been there. You can't fix culture with government without becoming authoritarian.
@wildgrass saidA man was using the men's room next to you and was a cross dresser. That's not a man using the women's restroom though, is it?

At least now we know what kind of bars you hung around in.
