It seems the government(s) can trace you to your own printer with
hidden codes embedded in everything you print: here is the link:

They put colored dots in a pattern you can only see with a microscope
into the image you print and each printer is has a unique signature
so if you are a dissident and print flyers you can be identified by
the dots hidden in the image, kind of like water marks but sleazier.
