Not sure where the Third World comes into it.
If the EU was just about free trade it would be fine. As a huge legislative body it is a pain in the ass. You don't want one.

NAFTA already covers US, Canada and Mexico doesn't it?

How can you take seriously any article that has the following in it.

"Consider this fact: By some estimates"

How can "some estimates" be "fact"?
All EU laws have to be ratified by the UK Parliament by the way.

between Mexico and Central America.
