IMHO, libertarians should be called 'liberals'
and 'liberals' should be called 'progressives',
as this is the natural atagonist of a 'conservative',
or perhaps that's 'regressive'
On the subject, isn't 'Atlas Shrugged' conceived to take place during a strike of the aristoi (best men)?
The libertarians don't strike me as a pro-labor organisation, as even voluntary collectivism seems to go against their grain.
The impression I get from Rand is that individualism is always ethically better than any collective action.
Or am I a horrible mistaken fool who should chop his hands off to prevent me ever posting such a nonsensical question ever again?

That is a very interesting handle. VILmausoleum.... Hmmm.
SVW hurts himself trying to get a meaning from the handle.
Oh well.
Ayne Rand is a universe of study. I guess that to get a brief grip one would have to admit to being 'arch' libertarian or 'middle of the road' conservative or being a 'true liberal'.
Ayne Rand is all of the above. If being truly "libertarian" means you support yourself and family, will defend your family with force, and will fight to the death to make sure that all minority peoples have the same rights as you enjoy.
I think that where one falls off the modern "libertarian" wagon is in their insipid "drug" and "civil" stances. You have to leave your brain at the door to be a "libertarian" these days. I miss Ayne.
For what it's worth.
