What do you make of it? There was a thread on here I while back comparing the plight of the badgers with tigers who don't make very good neighbours v badgers who could be kept at bay with a good fence.
The amount of protest incl the arson at the firing range is surprising to me, but I think it good. This sort of thing should just not happen, we are hi-tec these days. The cull sounds like an excuse for cheap fences to me... ?
Originally posted by AThousandYoungyes yes I put that up to - youtube link, I didn't mean to sound like the arson was a good idea, you wonder though, its sad but true that councils / private landlords will put people in bedsits the RSPCA would not let you keep a dog in (search London 400pcm for the proof! there's 1000s to choose from) So badger / person / tenant / prisoner rights are worth talking about here.

The cull is justified by a 16% reduction in bovine tuberculosis , which must translate as a lot of lost cows, but would also seem to justify the cost of a good fence? seems rational to me...

Originally posted by AThousandYoungIts cheap and nasty having a cull, people get attacked by cows, happened to a guy in Scotland a few months ago, there is a good case for good fences! - cows actually are dangerous.
