The Irish were fighting imperialists. The USA is not imperialistic. You can slander us by saying we are, but the British were quite open about it. Imperialism was fashionable back then.

Now liberating people so they can live under democracy is fashionable (or for some people, socialism or communism). That's how we roll in the States. Maybe there are secret conspiricies or whatever but I don't think you understand real imperialism.

Hmm, I think that the Northern Ireland issue was slightly more complicated than that.

Nah. Germans took over Britain. Then more Germans took over Britain from the first set of Germans. Then they went after Ireland and the rest of the non-industrialized world. Then the USA broke free and settled a bunch of land despite protests and violence from some other non-industrial people.

Then we beat up some Mexicans and bought their land from Napoleon or something.

The point is, the USA won the game called "Domination: Earth". Now bow down to Democracy - err Republicanism - whatever it's called.

Gordon Brown was voted in through a democratic society who wanted to see a change in Iraq and it's good to see he is doing that by leaving(as the people want) as quickly as possible.
Wrong.

Gordon Brown was never voted in. He merely replaced the retiring (like a dog with its tail between its legs) Blair.
