Depends. You are assuming the cyborg insect is remote controlled? Assuming AI cannot help the cyborg navigate without a signal it would depend on the type of Faraday cage used and the wavelength of the EM used. Light is part of the EM spectrum and we can see through wire mesh. It is obviously not keeping the wavelength of light out of it. I keep a shortwave radio in a toolbox just in case of an unlikely nuclear war and that is a Faraday cage. Probably the best Faraday cage.

I suspect Putin would have to live without windows unless it is like your microwave window.
