@AverageJoe1
Under Trump our lefty friends said the stock market meant nothing but trader speculation and it wasn't an indication of a good economy.
Now under Biden they will say..."look at the stock market! It's good!
Wall Street is not Main Street. However, wages are up as are employer provided benefits. Unemployment is low. Gas prices are down but inflation is high and this is a real concern. Inflation is high across the pond. People are flush with money. Too much money chasing goods (future landfill) that is blocked in ports. Due to the pandemic, fewer are spending $ on travel, restaurants, theater and sporting events. Our economy in the U. S. is strong. The biggest threat to our economy is climate warming and rabid, fascist Republicans.
@AverageJoe1
The only thing I know about the economy is that I just paid
$7 for a bunch of broccoli
$2 for a single beet
$3 for a single yam
$2 for a single grapefruit
$4 for a tiny box of blueberries
$4 for one quart of apple juice
Used car prices are up about 50%
and housing prices are up about 30%
@contenchess saidWho said that?

Higher than they have been in 39 years. I'm unhappy too. But not for me, ,,,,for our families. Inflation has pushed costs for the average family up by $3500. (CBO study). Hell ahead for those families.

Oh, more anecdotal episodes, huh?
Fact is; Trump, as well as Biden's pandemic
stimulus, is largely responsible.........
But, hey let's ignore FACTS and blame Biden.

And what.....Someone explained, I'll repeat.
Simply put, inflation happens when 'too much money,
chases, too few goods and services.'
All of the stimulus money, pumped into the economy,
initiated by TRUMP, followed up by BIDEN, are largely
responsible for current inflation.....
As my CONSERVATIVE friends are so fond of saying,
'there is no free lunch,' but let's lay blame where it belongs.
