For ending the war in Afghanistan. πŸ˜†

A lot of people are saying this, and it is excellent news! Joe Biden, one of America's sharpest and greatest Presidents, will finally get recognition for ending America's longest war and bringing peace to the world! πŸ˜†

Er, no. It was Trump’s diplomatic team which negotiated an end to the war, and it was a rotten deal for the Afghan people. All the treaty did was cover the allies’ rear while they were retreating.

There were certainly better ways to have gone about it but the end result would have been the same, a brutal Taliban government would have still taken over.
Their decisions about women are world class cruel.
Like stopping a woman with say a Phd in psychology or an MD in surgery, gets fired on day one of Taliban rule.
Not allowing women to even getting more than a grade school education shoots themselves in their feet, like Taliban men are SO incredibly intelligent and educated they have no need for women other than to bear children.

There would have been no way to stop that no matter how well or badly the withdrawal went.

I think the cruel treatment of women under Taliban rule is a LOT worse in the long run than the deaths from the withdrawal.

@sonhouse

Bush the Lesser was stupid to have gotten involved in Afghanistan in the first place. Nobody since Alexander has been able to subdue that country.

And attacking Iraq with the excuse of weapons of mass destruction. Isis would not even gotten started as a huge problem but for THAT debacle. Bush Jr decided he would clean up the 'mess' left by daddy who only went as far as stopping the attacks on the oil fields where he Knew the implications of defeating Hussein which meant Iran now had no immediate enemy on their borders.
GREAT move, eh.

@sonhouse

I used to think Bush the Lesser was the worst president in US history. I have since come to revise that. He’s only the second worst.

Well there was also Hoover. He pretty much Hoovered the economy into ruin. but for sure Trump is the worse by far. He is an obvious puppet.

Netanyahoo getting Trump to bomb Iran for instance or Stephen Miller getting Trump to in V1 making it official policy to rip babies from the arms of moms resulting in 5000 children in cages and 8 of them died because of indifference to any medical issues of the kids.
And in V2 Miller talking Trump into making ICE into the thuggery it is now, our own secret police, masks thugs refusing to ID themselves as actual police which is dangerous for both the people beaten and arrested but for themselves as well, in states that have those self defense laws with legal carry you can see a dude armed being attacked by ICE thugs where the dude being attacked could think who the hell are these assholes? Want to kidnap me for ransom? So he grabs his pistol and seeing they are wearing kevlar, shoots them in the head instead so there are some dead ICE agents.
There have already been at least ONE reported incident of a dude shooting at ICE agents and no wonder, I would do EXACTLY the same thing if I was in a state allowing that kind of defense and free carry.

Umm... no. Trump had 4 years to end the war and failed. Because he is a failure who has failed at everything he has ever tried.

Biden ended the war. πŸ˜†

Trump ended the Russian/Ukraine war on day one of his presidency and ended the Israel/Gaza issue…oh and obliterated Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities. πŸ‘πŸ˜²πŸ€”πŸ‘Ž

Yep. Too bad they don't deport all women, that way when the bastards die that will be the end of a rotten bunch of humans.

And btw... there was no need to negotiate anything. We had overwhelming military force and could leave whenever we wanted.

The Trump admin carried out an unnecessary four-year "delay" touted by them as "negotiation" which was just kicking the can down the road. Because they knew that as soon as we left, the "sham" would collapse. Great negotiating!

Trump gets ZERO credit for ending that war and ZERO credit for a fake horses** deal that immediately failed!!! He's just an irresponsible putz. πŸ˜†

Obama could have left whenever he wanted. Trump45 could have left whenever he wanted. It was nothing to do with Biden. And yes, the negotiation was a sham; the Taliban were simply indulging the Trump administration and biding their time, knowing that neither they nor the USA would abide by the conditions.
