Does anyone know how that banking malarkey works?

One of Biden’s threats is to close down money trading options for Russia (the swift system or somethinf?). Or stopping them trading.
I know the US has done this to other countries before, but I have no clue as to how that mechanism works.

And can only the US do that? Or can other countries, unilaterally, do the same to the US?

Hoping for an explanation!

OnIy so many 'reaI' (hard)
currencies...DoIIar, pound, Franc, Yen, Euro etc...
Anywhere you go a doIIar is good,
not so with rupee, peso, rubIe, dong....etc
Other money is pegged to doIIar
OiI is bought with dollars,
Credit cards, international banking Ioans, etc
Swift is to eIectronicaIIy transfer money, bank to bank.
Get the idea, or more contused?

That to go along with the load he dropped when "2bigmac2fishfillet" Trump told the world he believed Putin over his own intelligence people in Helsinki.

If Russia hits Ukraine at the same time China hits Taiwan then the USA will probably sit this one out.

Did the meeting with Putin accomplish anything?
I haven't watched it yet.

I don't think we would send troops
to defend UKRAINE but, severe economic
sanctions would wreak havoc on Russia....
We would probably have to guarantee our
European NATO allies petroleum supply.
Taiwan is another story.
