I'm sure you all know the story.
Should the goverment realese the 50 female prisoners?
The government shouldn't release them as a result of demands by kidnappers, because a) the kidnappers will ultimately never be satisfied until Iraq has Taliban-style rule, b) making concessions will only encourage them to kidnap more people and c) the kidnappers have no respect for the life of any Westerners they see as taking part in the occupation of Iraq, so even if we always agreed to their demands they'd keep killing people. Instead the government should be trying to improve its credibility among the great majority of moderate Iraqis who just want to have a free and stable country.

That isn't the AMerican way though.

No, the "American Way" is rather about electric chairs and lethal injections. I see that you are from Texas, so you might know: Where exactly is the difference? There is no non-barbaric death penalty.
At any rate - Acolyte is completely right. And that is the truth, because it rhymes.
