He was irrationally hostile to the poor, minorities, and the under educated. During the desegregation he suggested that southern states should deny "both uneducated whites and blacks the right to vote."

But I really liked the times article today. It paints a really interesting picture of him as a person... It almost makes me wish I would have met him... almost...

I consider it cheering whether there is a smiley face or not, honestly. The man's views were differnt than yours, and so? He had a funny accent... and so? He was well educated, and yes he made some bad choices in his life .. he was a a chain smoker fer one.

As a conservative, I despise Hillary and bill and Obama for their liberal views, however I never wished them ill or death or anything of the sort. I'm sure person to person they are charming, just misguided in the direction they want this country to go.

I reserve wishing death or harm for enemies of this country, like Castro, his brother, chavez, stalin, Hitler, Hirohito

And even as much as you tick me off at times, I hope your doing well every day. I figure at some point in time something may happen to have you shift your views.... or someone. but if they don't, so what? Views and opinions are just that.
