"Chaos will follow"

Debates

After the Supreme Court gave Trump the power to fire basically anyone in government whenever he wants, Sonia Sotomayor delivered an oral dissent from the bench that included the dire prediction that “The one thing that does appear to be clear going forward is that chaos will follow."

Is she right? If Congress passes a law that the President of the United States refuses to enact, or installs a shill willing to cripple the law, then Congress exists in name only. She is predicting that will happen. Every 4 years, we get a new President with a new agenda and everyone's fired.

It seems that this Supreme Court valued separation of powers before when Biden was president but suddenly not now. Wonder why.

Even pundits who were once viewed as very conservative are worried about the separation of powers under this administration but the Supreme Court is operating to the right of all of that.

Conservatives who give Trump increasingly unchecked power like this seem unafraid that a Democrat will abuse power in the same way.

If a Dem wins, they'll just be good ol' boy scouts spouting "this is not who we are" for 4 years until a Republican gets elected, the envelop gets pushed further, to the point of no return.

Maybe Dems should elect someone as equally unhinged as Trump, who will ignore the constitution, spread lies, break laws and not serve any time for it.

Brilliant! The next Democrat President can simply fire 5 Supreme Court Justices and re-stack the high court.

I can hardly wait.
