To test the Russian AK-74 assault rifle, they shot up a living pig.

It was anesthetized though.

This reminds me of the Japanese word tsujigiri, meaning to try out a new sword on a passerby (literally at a crossroads).

If you liked that report, have a look at some of Dr. Ashby's work. He studies the penetration abilities of hunting arrows. Interesting findings.
