When people of different ethno-socio, and religious backgrounds are lumped together to form a nation for material and economic gain of the colonial masters, there is bound to be friction and mistrust amongst the people of the nation even after the departure of the perpetrators.

really? ... look at the previous century .... how does your statement apply to the European war in WWII ... was Russia a victim of colonization? ... how about France? ...

i suppose you could say the world would be very stable if the colonies had not come back and rescued the old countries from each other ... but who would want to live there ... one quarter of the world under germany and one half under japan ...
so where are the colonialists of the 21st century?

The latest I heard is that some extremist Islamist groups want Andalucia in Spain "back" because it was once a part of the Arab (Islam?) empire ...... NUTS.

I would agree that it is a root, and with racism, classism, and religious imperialism, economic and political colonization takes its place among the main roots of instability. All the other roots are relatively insignificant.

Those performing the rescue you reference here were the descendants of colonists, not the peoples colonized. Do not mistake the dominant population of the United States and Canada for colonized peoples. They are colonists who remained, and drove those they colonized into submission. The end of colonization in North America means returning the lands to the Indians.
so where are the colonialists of the 21st century?
NASA, several missionary organizations, international business specialists woking for NIKE, ...
Do you begin to understand?

colonialism is immigration without quotas or inspection procedures ...

("begin to understand?" .... what is this "little grasshopper" crap?)
none of these are colonists ... NASA's the closest, and they're not even close ... why not include McDonald's? ...
