I wish everyone would lay the Obama critisism and the Bush critisism to rest and start lookin at common sense for a change. This country is in termoil and all people want to do is wine about who's fault it is or was. The fact of the matter is that unemployment is at a devistating 10.2 percent(and those numbers are low).
What you need to ask yourself is do we need to worry about if we are healthy if we are starving. Are the polar bears more important to us than food. Poverty level is growing, forclosures are still on the rise with another wave coming soon, I see more and more people on the street begging for money for food and not just drunks.
Yet we as a country want to whine about right and left. Our Gov is more worried about GLOBAL WARMING than thier starving constituants. Our Pres is more worried about National Heathcare and the Olympics than our troops, our legislature is full of friggin crooks, and yet we still only whine about it.
Common sense says FOOD and JOBS come first and foremost!!! YES?
In all Polls the Economy is first and foremost the on Americans minds.
Call your senate and house everyday as many times as you can and tell them ENOUGH IS ENOUGH get on the ball, cut taxes, and let businesses create some friggin jobs. Call them now and everychance you can.
Sorry just ranting here no need to respond, but isn't it just Common Sense?

Originally posted by torch71So, I take it that if you are worried about the welfare of American families and wish the government to cut the crap and intervene to help, then you must be a supporter of health care reform?
Someone in Gov has to start out with the correct foot and shore up the problems going on and current now, and stop with the agenda driven crap.
Originally posted by torch71For people who are truly starving, there are a variety of welfare programs available for them - and a wide variety of charity groups and churches regularly set up food drives, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and the like.

Perhaps more needs to be done to make people who are in need more aware of the programs and groups that are available to help them.
Originally posted by The SnapperI am for reform, maybe not the way congress is for reform. And in the same, it does little good to give health care to people and not make sure they can eat.

Originally posted by MelanerpesSo in your opinion entitlements and churches are to be relied apon instead of helping people help themselves? Oh and if you have no address you cannot claim welfare.

Originally posted by FMFNothing superior about my agenda, just saying if you can not feed your family and you are now homeless, What good is healthcare in 2013. And what good is cap and trade.
So you have an agenda too, it seems. What's superior about yours?
Curious as to what your agenda is tho. Do you reside in the US? Do you receive health care from the US? Are you employed from the US?
Originally posted by torch71You referred to the current prevailing political priorities as 'agenda crap'. And now you admit your own agenda is not superior? So your ideas are 'agenda crap' too?

Originally posted by torch71Many of those churches and entitlements do help people to help themselves. Many offer services like education, job training, counseling, legal services, etc. Or do you believe that everyone should be expected to go it alone without any help from anyone else?

Do you think to be able to feed your family is more important than healthcare, global warming, employee bonuses?
