Are the 2 compatible?
Personally, I'm proud that Scotland looks likely to show some compassion to a dying man and allow him home to die.

Originally posted by RedmikeThere is always room for compassion. They say justice is blind but I don't know why in some circumstances a little compassion cant' be shown.

Originally posted by joe beyserThat he was not summarily executed upon his conviction is already more compassion than I think a mass murderer deserves. I hope one of his victim's family members gets to him and puts him out of his misery.

GRANNY.

Originally posted by joe beyserAh, I see. Yes, two thumbs up for compassion. Too bad this dude had no compassion for the people he murdered. Too bad the Scottish government has no compassion for the families of the victims as they let out the guy who killed 270 of their loved ones.

How many more will go down this avenue asking to be released?
How much will it cost to say yes or no to "prove" they are as bad as they make out?
How much will it cost when someone gets a "no" and dies within a few months and their familiy sues?
This is one of the worst decisions made.
Do the crime do the time.
As a fellow Scotsmen I am ashamed that the Government has made this decision.
