How does everybody in the UK vote at election time? Just thought it would be interesting to see if there is any pattern between chess and political preferences.
I have decided to put it in here just in case it gets heated!!!
I'll start the ball rolling!!!
CONSERVATIVE

I think i would go for an unknown independent as i dont agree with the larger parties. they are power hungry obsessive maniacs who should be egged and floured regularly and made to look the fools they are.
polotics would be more interesting if someone killed a few poloticians now and then...
instead they blow up trains, how r these terrorists supposed to get any public support...! (feel free to steal the idea -(PEACHY))
😀

Scottish Socialist Party - again only available in Scotland (where politics is a lot more interesting generally).
I love the way the Scots think their politics actually matters, instead of being a measly crumb conceded to you by your sasanach friends down south.
Classic example: constructed post the 11th of September (massively over budget and late), the folly of a Scottish Pseudo Parliament is supposedly bullet and bomb proof.
Great. Now, in order to justify these precautions, all you have to do is find one member of Al Quaeda and convince them of your existence.

Yes. Truly fascinating.

There are lots of elements of the parliament building that are arguably a waste of money, but attempting to make it bomb-proof isn't one of them.

If any of the big parties actually stumped in any of the elections in Northern ireland I'd vote Labour as it is I'm left with the alliance party other wise known as a wasted vote 🙂😉
Also, if I remember rightly, there were moves to change the labour party's constitution to allow them to stand in NI.
And you don't want the libdems anyway.

No to your strange question- you've missed my point. I think you can see quite easily I'm suggesting that devolution is a sham, and makes the umpteenth time the Scots have sold themselves out.
I'm also challenging your assumption that Scottish politics is far more interesting than the politics of other lands. Why so? And wouldn't you need to have a state before anyone realises you have a parliament (or finds your politics terribly important and fascinating)?
I'm also suggesting that all this fuss created over that ridiculous parliament is to appease the nationalists left among you, whilst being almost entirely pointless.
As we speak, William Wallace is looking down upon you, and wondering to himself:
"I was hanged, drawn and quartered for this?"
