Conservapedia or the quote from Ann Coulter?

If the latter, then you bring up an interesting point. The quote undoubtedly comes from one of her books or columns. It's basic Ann Coulter (and it never gets any more advanced). However, given that she's been shown to be a blatant plagiarist, the quote may actually come from the mind of another crazy.

In addition, you are making a very incorrect assumption about democrats, probably by making conclusions from a very extreme source. There are plenty of comparable arguments against republicans and conservatives.
Xanthos isn't advocating any of this nonsense. A little piece of advance: save your energy. The right-wingers will never see the inanity of their thinking, and it's plain as day to everyone else.

The best thing to do is follow in Stephen Colbert and parody them. Then we can all have a little laugh at their expense.

[b]According to leading conservative thinkers, no good Christian would ever be a Democrat. For example, Ann Coulter says "The Democrats are giving aid and ...[text shortened]... e topic is American. Conservapedia favors American spellings of words.

first of all, there is no american language. there is only english language. so why should the world spell words your way, and not the way the british write them?

second, i don't think wikipedia is supposed to be an american enciclopedia. so why should it not use "foreign" spelling of words if it is intended to be an international, agnostic and neutral repository of knowledge. when "anyone can edit it", it is absolutely normal that some will not be in accordance with the "one true religion". You cannot possibly ask an hindu Indian to write BC. Or a british to spell like americans. or a namibian professor of science not to slip a few grammar mistakes.

i would rather have wikipedia and wonder what 1900 CE means for 5 seconds than a true christian and american encyclopedia.

before you say anything against conservapedia, don't be obtuse and just read some of it 🙂

i read just one article and i must say it is the most biased, bigot, etc piece of dung i have ever read. and i am sure that if i search long enough i will find an article about the world being created in 6 days.

"Faith is complete trust or confidence in an unseen, loving power. Its root is the Latin word "fidere", meaning "to trust".

Jesus was unique in preaching the significance of faith and it is exclusive to Christianity. No other religion is based on faith as distinguished from mere belief. Faith is mentioned 229 times in the Bible's New Testament. An example is Jesus observing the powerful healing faith of a Roman centurion: "Assuredly I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!" (Matthew 8:10)

The concept of faith is mentioned only twice in the Old Testament (KJV).

In the Koran, the concept of submission to Allah is mentioned 11 times, while the concept of faith in Allah is mentioned only once.

Some (particularly non-Christians) dilute the meaning of faith, depriving it of its power and significance. The Merriam-Webster dictionary, for example, includes this watered-down definition of faith: "a system of religious beliefs."[1] Under this meaning, any and every religion has "belief" or "faith". But faith preached uniquely by Jesus obviously refers to something far more precise than any "a system of religious beliefs," and such faith has never been preached in the same way by non-Christian religions. "

Are you saying that article isn't accurate or just that it obviously came from a Christian?

"Creation
From Conservapedia

The creation of man was by a plural form of God in Genesis (see bolded text below). Why?

Some have suggested that this reflects a polytheism common in the ancient world, when Genesis was written in Hebrew, but scholars reject that because monotheism is emphasized throughout Genesis.

Others have suggested that the plural form is referencing angels, but nothing in Genesis suggests that.

Christians, beginning in the Middle Ages, cited this as ancient proof in Hebrew of the existence of the Trinity. The plural form is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Scholars do not have a better answer. This existence is confirmed by the gospel of John.

"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made." (John 1: 1-3)

From Genesis 1:1-2:1 (NAS):

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.

3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

6 Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." 7 God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. 8 God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.

9 Then God said, "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. 10 God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, {and} fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them"; and it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. There was evening and there was morning, a third day.

14 Then God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so. 16 God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; {He made} the stars also. 17 God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. 19 There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.

20 Then God said, "Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens." 21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." 23 There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.

24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. 25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them; and God said to them," Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of on the earth."

29 Then God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; 30 and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, {I have given} every green plant for food"; and it was so.

31 God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. 2 By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made"

Socialism
From Conservapedia

Socialism is an economic system that requires public ownership and government control over the production of goods. Government is supposed to make decisions about what and how much to produce in an attempt to increase the common welfare. Socialism is common in most parts of the world outside of the United States.

Socialism is described by this saying: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." Socialism allows private property in the form of wages to workers, but not in the form of ownership of large companies.

Karl Marx considered socialism to be a transitory strage between capitalism (full private property rights) and communism (almost no private property rights).

Communism
From Conservapedia

Communism is government in which the state owns everything and the wealth is divided evenly among the citizens. Communists believe that if they share everything, no one will ever have to work. It is an atheist government not believing in God and only in the "state" as the supreme thing on the earth. The most famous communist government was the USSR or the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was an official government starting in 1922 and ending in 1991.

Islam
From Conservapedia

Islam is a religion of Abraham that has grown to be the second largest religion with over 1.4 billion followers. The word "Islam" means submission to God. The followers of Islam are called Muslims. Muslims practice complete monotheism, worshiping Allah and believing Muhammad to be his last and greatest prophet. They live by the Koran, the pure and holy word of Allah that must be treated with the utmost respect. Muslims wash their hands before reading the book, which is considered complete and perfect only in the original Arabic, and burn old copies instead of throwing them away. Muslims follow the five pillars of Islam, which are straightforward and easy to understand. The belief in one god is clear, and encourages familiarity. Five daily prayers are recited facing toward Mecca with specific movements and times. Giving to the poor keeps them from becoming greedy or putting too much stake in worldly possessions. A month of fasting brings them closer to Allah. A pilgrimage to Mecca shows respect for the prophet Muhammad and his journey. Intoxication, gambling, stealing, adultery, and false accusations of adultery along with other offenses, are forbidden and highly punishable. Because Islam is an uncomplicated religion to live by, it is sure to continue in its popularity around the world.

The Five Pillars of Islam are:

1. To have submit to the one god, Allah, whose prophet was Muhammad.

2. Pray to Allah five times each day while facing Mecca.

3. Fast during daylight hours for the entire month of Ramadan. No food is eaten in that month during daylight hours. Fasting strengthens the body and soul.

4. Almsgiving: this means Muslims must donate to the poor.

5. A Muslim must take a Hajj or pilgrimage at least once during his lifetime to Mecca where Muhammad himself made a hajj from A.D. 629 to 632.

Islam and Paganism
Although most Muslims profess belief in a single, almighty God, a substantial minority of accredited Western scholars believe that the Muslim belief system can be traced back to distinctly polytheistic antecedents. Some, for example, have attempted to to link Allah to a moon deity. Others have pointed to the pagan roots of various Muslim prohibitions, such as the ban on pork originating in the 3rd-century AD Damascene cult of the pig-god Jamal. There is some evidence that traditional Muslim scholars have been suppressing this information as well as various recently-recovered scrolls that hint at early Muslim human sacrifice (e.g., at Uhud).

Homosexuality
From Conservapedia

Homosexuality is an unnatural sexual orientation found in human beings. In general, homosexuality is described as a sexual attraction towards a member of one's own sex/gender.

Biblical Views on Homosexuality
In the book of Leviticus (18:22) of the King James Version of the Bible is found the following verse:

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

This has been interpreted by many to be a condemnation of homosexual activity.

Modern Views on Homosexuality
The American Psychiatric Association de-listed homosexuality as a mental disorder in 1973, indicating their blatant liberal bias. Since that time, homosexuals have advocated for recognition of their civil rights and for equal protection under the law, though fortunately the American people have mostly retained their senses on this.

Legal marriage between same-sex couples is now recognized in several socialist European nations as well as in the liberal-oriented State of Massachusetts (see Massachusetts Liberal). In other states a more limited recognition of same-sex relationships is available and is called a "civil union". Many other states have passed constitutional amendments banning recognition of same-sex marriages performed anywhere and some groups on the far right advocate for a Federal amendment to deny equal marriage rights to same-sex couples.
