It's been this way was as far back as I can remember. In the 60's and 70's Republican lawmakers spoke openly about the need to prolong the Vietnam war, fearing it's end would mean the cancellation of defence contracts, while ignoring the cost of human lives. The Reagan and both Bush presidents used the tactic of rewriting rules on corporate pollution, allowing corporation to poison our air, earth, and water, then folding these new rules into the defence budget, while attacking lawmakers who voted against the new budget, calling the "soft on Communism" or "soft on terror" and the list goes on and on.

because we realize the US is but a small spot on the earth. We can have zero pollution but that doesn't help the rest of the world.

C'mon, get serious. Y'all just don't give a damn about the rest of the world, but now, you let Trump's administration kill Americans and you think that's just fine. Just as long as multibillion dollar corporations get to make obscene profits on the backs of those Americans.

On a side note, people like you say how great Trump is that he "gave the coal miners their jobs back" or some BS like that. Those jobs suck, killing Americans every year, but because of the corporate greed in America, those are the best jobs they can get in their area. How about giving them all free college tuition so they can get better jobs? Doesn't Corporate America owe them that much?

Most, if not about all, American politicians took into account the cost of ONLY American lives, disregarding the reality that many more Vietnamese, Cambodians, or Laotians were dying.


Dear Duchess, this may shock you, but you have no idea what politicians were "taking into account" 60's and 70's. In reality, Congress the State Dept. and Defence Dept. kept a very close tally on the lives of Vietnamese, Cambodians, or Laotians during this period, and even made sure their casualty numbers were on the evening news along with those of Americans, if you don't believe me just watch complete evening news reports from Walter Cronkite, or David Brinkley. I watched them Mon - Fri after school in the 60's

I think the coal miners of this country HAVE "earned their way", considering just how much Corporate America has made off their blood, sweat and tears over the last 150 years. Those families have paid, again and again, in lost health and in lost lives, and for what? So some CEO can buy another condo?
