Um. Meanwhile, I think you need to remind me...which US president is it that's suggesting that Ukraine fold its tent and forfeit land to Russia? Which one has cut off vital weapons and aid to Ukraine in recent months? In brief, which one is essentially advocating for appeasing Russia to buy "peace for our time"?
While we can never know for sure, it seems on the available evidence that Putin would have had much fewer consequences to contend with had he invaded Ukraine on Trump's watch. Putin just wasn't willing to wait that long.
In any case I would not take that faith of yours as being a proven fact, though I know you find security in it, as unfathomable as it seems to me that your identity and sense of self worth should be so inextricably yoked to a sociopath who cares very little about you.

I doubt that Trump will puts boots on the ground in this war, as I doubt the Europeans will, either.
With that said, it is either give up some land (appease) or lose the capital and the entire country.
In the end, it will be Zelenskyy's decision, not Trump's. And I couldn't even guess what he will agree to,
