perhaps this needs to be rephrased ...

if the us government knew the towers were going to fall sideways demolishing a massive swathe of new york and killing lots of people ... then surely they should send in a squad to demolish them relatively safely straight down onto their foundations ... a good government should do this.

but of course: the towers had exoskeletons ... and so the collapse was always likely to turn back inside that exoskeleton without any assistance.

Here's a few facts:

Bush was elected president the first time by what some considered to be unfair (history sticks) ruling.
Bush didn't do a whole lot for the american people or foreign affairs before 9/11.
Bush (and his old man) has a long, known relationship with the Bin Ladens.
Bush (and his team) had a lot to gain from a reinvigorated war industry.
Bush apperantly didn't really react when the news arrived about what happened on 9/11.
Bush, and america as a whole, would stand to gain a lot if the hunt for terrorism could be focused on a target with an abundance of oil resources.

No wait... I'm starting to loose the thread here...

Some questioned the second re-election of Bush (whether on solid ground or not)
And Bush isn't even a generally appreciated person by most.

---

Based on these facts that now lay before you. Can you really claim that 9/11 is not an insider operation, properly led by the president himself?

---

Seriously, it would still be interesting to see if that simulation of sasquatch would stand up to any scrutiny from a group of highly intelligent and unpartial investigators/engineers.

Sorry, but I don't think that testing things out and searching for the truth is disrespecting anyone. I have to say that I believe scepicism of the government is an entirely healthy thing. Now I'm not saying that the towers were destroyed intentionally, but let's face it, the government could have done more pre-emptively to prevent it. There were ...[text shortened]... anned it, or even willing helped it to happen, but they have done awfully well at exploiting it.
yes i think that they could have done a better job and i aggree with what your saying to some degree, but to say that we would destroy our own buildings is a stupid and cruel thing to say. i just think that the guy has no character, but if you want to debate the protection of america than i am open to that as well, we wernt, but that doesnt mean that we did it to ourselves.

Given the magnitude and implications of this argument, why haven't
worldwide experts been called upon to give an independent
investigation??

Personally what bothers me about US films is their absolute disregard
for Newtons second law of motion.

At least this time, it seems, they got it right...

Consider the Ents in the twin towers? Sure as hell they'd have been
washed away if they'd broken that dam.

If you look closely the Ent's "root" their feet before getting hit by the water. But that isn't an American movie.

Okay, sasquatch,

For those of you not in the know an Ent is a giant tree-like creature able to walk about an do stuff in the Lord of the Rings. LOTR was made by an NZ director (Peter Jackson) and most of it was filmed here. Not sure who financed it though....

The Ents were born of Tolkiens frustration at Macbeth when
"Birnham Wood is come to castle Dunsinane",

Scene 4

In the country near Birnam Wood:

Malcolm, Macduff and their army are ready to invade Macbeth´scastle. Malcolm tells his men to camouflage themselves with branches from the trees in the forest.

"Let every soldier hew him down a bough

And bear't before him; thereby shall we shadow

The numbers of our host and make discovery

Err in report of us."
