inmate self-diagnoses as psychopath and asks for treatment and several years later a private cell, to prevent bad outcomes.

refused, and a few years later, when his cellmate refuses to wash his hands, inmate kills cellmate and eats some raw lung (he wanted the heart but couldn't ID it) then cooks up some more and eats that.

got 30 years (with a 20-year minimum) for this.

bogus conviction?

it seems the state is the one who dropped the ball on this one. why is the inmate convicted? is europe really all that liberal?

i think that if criminals ask for treatment, are determined to need treatment (including incarceration) but are refused, they should get off. but if they DON'T ask for treatment or refuse it, they shouldn't be able to plead mentally incapacitated with eventual hope of release when their condition clears up.
