So for those who won't read links...here is the story.
A black guy on a bicycle riding around at 9pm and the bike doesn't have a headlight which is a law in Virginia. (Stupid law 🙄)
The cop flashes his lights and yells over the megaphone for him to stop but the guy on the bike thinks it's meant for someone else because it is a high crime area.
So the cop tackles him which causes a couple of broken bones and a complaint is filed.
Almost 2 years later that guy who was tackled gets killed in a daytime shootout and he was just an innocent bystander who got hit by a bullet and killed...father of 3.
Talk about an unlucky dude 😒
Definitely abuse of power by the cop.
All he should have done was maybe flash his lights and over the megaphone/loudspeaker give a warning to get a light on the bike and just let him keep riding.
Tackling someone because of a by-law infraction is ridiculous.
The media will say it was because he was black 🙄 but many cops are on power trips and they don't care what race you are.
@contenchess saidWhat? A reasonable statement
