How do we know anything is real anymore?

It is the new tool of denial. Don't want to believe it? Call it a deep fake. If it is a deep fake and you want to believe it, you will. Authorities said they confirmed the suspected AI image of the pentagon explosion was fake. How did they confirm it? By observation. But I determined that the video of Bin Laden that authorities said he confessed to the 911 attack was not Bin Laden by observation. Why do so few people believe me? Because people believe what they want to believe.
So we are entering the new age of deep fake denial. I will give a hypothetical example. A video of Trump is leaked on the internet of him having sex with a child on Epstein Island. Trump calls it a deep fake. Republicans want to believe that so they do. Democrats say he is lying and call for his impeachment. How do any of you prove what you believe?
@Metal-Brain saidDeep fakes couldn't have arrived quickly enough for those to plausibly deny having been caught up in an Epstein honey pot.

@kmax87 saidRight. If Netanyahu can convince people that children starving in Gaza is Hamas propaganda anybody can deny anything and get people who want to believe it to believe just that. He didn't even have to call them deep fake videos. He could just say it was real children starving but it was not in Gaza.

Prince Andrew claimed the photo of him with Virginia was photo shopped. Could he prove it? Apparently not. The settlement amount is secret, but that just means it must be a lot of money for a photo that was supposedly not real.
