Both parties go too far, as far as I am concerned.
But isn't it interesting that the powers that be somehow manage to keep the split right around 50/50 (not counting the independents) with their aggregations of various demographics?
I think we need to re-shuffle the deck and find some new alliances over common ground, even if the parties to those alliances don't agree on every point.
