What do you find disgusting about it?

Is it that you just don't like ambulance chasers,
or the fact that he may have been retained by her family
to sue the state for trauma and damages?

America is the home of litigation my friend.

I don't see why you are disgusted or even surprised about it.

If he is successful, her family will never have money worries again.

America comes across as this big Christian nation.

But in reality they only respect the dollar.

The lawyer can't bring a case without a client.

As the report says, the lawyer is finding out if a suit can be brought.

Neither the lawyer nor the client will decide this.

The notion of a lawyer bring suit is hardly disgusting. What is out of order, is the amount sought in damages, and the fact that there isn't any downside to hoisting up such large numbers.

Filing suit is as American as buying a lottery ticket, and in principle much the same.
