Diversity

In nature, a lack of diversity leads to specie decline. The same can be said for human social systems. Diversity brings strength in nature and in human society. Evolution brings forth diversity. Conservatives should fear a monoculture, not diversity.

It is not 'conservatives' who hate diversity, it is the frothing at the mouth magites who will follow Trump no matter convictions, prison, for them, he IS above the law and ALL charges are bogus and he leads them on, preaching counter culture, get things back to where they were when white folks were in total charge.
And that evil is contagious, look at the just past so-called repub debate.
Asked if they would support Trump even if he was convicted, all but a couple of hands went up.

A fantastic post. Alas, it will be lost on many, esp those of Mob mentalitiy, who think they need mobs to grow. In fact, mobs hav the REVERSE effect!!. Why think for yourself? "I am not going to the creek and catch a fish, someone will do it for me".

I guess there is no reason to read past this post, it says it all, and also, everyone would have to agree with it. If you libs don.t, I'll bet you are pondering it, trying to understand what it means!! I know, i know, it is a tough one.......

The "two-party" adversarial system was the best thing humans had come up with for a very long time, but it has now become a problem because the rights of individual humans now take precedence in so many areas. Everywhere you look - in English-speaking countries at least - humans are gathering in groups to disrupt the status quo, and there's nothing so pointless as two groups of one-eyed extremists screaming and waving weapons at each other or the long-suffering law enforcers.

It's time we recognised that no man is an island, communal services and controls are essential if we're all to have the opportunity to live our best lives, and taking sides is only useful on battlefields where casualties are the point of the exercise.

What alternatives can be found? Certainly not extremism in any form, that's even worse. That rules out most of the other -isms.

being an independent and not a conservative I am not sure what you mean. Our country is probably the most diverse of any nation. Where or how do conservatives want a monoculture? or where does the US lack in diversity?

It is the GOP who is trying to eliminate competition via Gerrymandering and restricting voting rights by reducing polling places and making it more difficult for native Americans and college students to vote. Dems are trying to pass legislation to ensure voting rights, regardless of party affiliation..
