Here, try this on for size. Remember, it is a private family matter. And before anyone says anything about it being the National Enquirer, just remember what paper brought you John Edwards.

It is absolutely ludicrous. Lipstick on a pig. I mean, clearly Obama was making a sexist remark. In fact, I think they should ban this offensive phrase from television. I'm surprised that George Carlin dind't use this phrase in his famous profanity bit.

Obama should be ashamed of himself.

Please, I saw clips of McCain using the same phrase on the news this morning. But, then again, you aren't offended that she called herself a put bull with lipstick.

McCain should be ashamed of himself then too. Clearly this was a sexist remark about his vice presidential candidate.

{slight touch of sarcasm in my posts}

Is it clear that he was making a sexist remark? And if so, was it sexist when McCain used it? Or is it only sexist when a democrat says it. Hell, I've used that term maybe a thousand times and no one ever called me sexist for saying it. Maybe for a dozen other things that I've said, but not that.

Personally, I didn't think it sexist, but I did think it an awesome jab at that idiotic joke about hockey moms. She set herself up. Did the boys play too rough?

So, was her comment about Community Organizers racist? Let's use the same standard to judge.

I thought my sarcasm was thick enough to be deciphered without smilies. I though saying that the phrase should be banned from TV might give away the parody of my post.

I also clarified in my response to Kirksey that I was being slightly sarcastic.

It is absolutely ridicluous that anyone had the brass tacks to make this claim of sexism. I am ridiculing my sad, polarized country.

Sarah Palin in her speech at the Republican Nation Convention made a stupid joke:
What is the difference between a pit bull and hockey mom?
Answer: Lipstick!

implying that she was either a pit bull or hockey mom.

Then yesterday Barack Obama used the phrase lipstick on a pig which means to make something look good on the outside which is still crap on the inside, and all the Republicans are in an uproar claiming Obama called Palin a pig.

I will have to come to the defense of Obama on this one in terms of him making a sexist remark. I don't think he was doing so, however, saying it was STUPID!! You can even hear gasps in the audience when he said it. I just wonder why he did not stop and correct himself or explain himself once he saw peoples reactions.

My advice for Obama is to not ad lib. Follow exactly what is on the prompter and forget about it.

Guys, read all my posts! SARCASM. JOKE. Do you really think I would say that "lipstick on a pig" should not be uttered on television?

I will NOT quit my day job.

This gets funnier by the moment.

Obama said that McCain's claim to "shake up Washington" or otherwise offer change was lipstick on a pig because McCain is offering more of George Bush's failed policies. The comment had nothing to do with Palin until McCain alleged that it did, then Obama told David Letterman that if anything, Palin was the lipstick.
