Can't do that. There's an ethical argument with regard to sport. Achievement in sport should be defined the way it is (in theory, at least) - you get better than the other guy because you worked harder to enhance your God-given talents. Allowing drugs into sport negates peoples' hard work who don't want to take drugs. And people have very good reaso ...[text shortened]... cles the size of grapes is one of them. Flo Jo, Pantini are two dead good reasons why we shouldn't
In all seriousness Trev,
I enjoy the spectacle of seeing athletes on the podium picking up their medals. After years of work, 24/7 vigorous training regimes and personal sacrifices they make to get to that point, the sheer emotion when they win is very pleasing to watch.
And then to see someone take performance enhancing drugs to win their respective sports, just takes away any joy in watching someone pick up their medal (Did they take drugs?). Instead of making the sacrfices other sports people make, they bypass all the pain and go straight for the gain.
It's poor sportmanship no matter which way you want to look at it.
I do agree with you about Landis great stage win and enjoyed watching it at the time, but looking back on it, he totally ruined the tour for me...

If drugs were legal these bogus test results wouldn’t be ruining any past or future sporting entertainment.
