But maybe similar to what some experts have said about the Kohberger case in Idaho, maybe the people involved in somehow "finding" the lost raw footage succumbed to a kind of tunnel-vision and missed a few details when it came to covering their own tracks.
OR, maybe the tech experts who actually did the "recovering"/editing knew exactly what could be done and what they were doing, and conscientiously followed the instructions of their bosses to the letter, knowing that the results might contain some interesting evidence.
However (and not to be cynical), I think we have already seen cases where "the truth will out" and did, but with little or no legal consequences.
And now it's 2:53 minutes missing, and some new info from someone who stayed in that very cell or a similar one that there was nothing in the ceiling from which one might hang oneself, and the bedframe (apparently not a bunk-bed) would have been too low to work for self-hanging.
Unfortunately the video editor is probably a dead person walking (no matter what kind of bug-out plan they had), because Chump and his agent Blondi (not to mention the anti-Constitutional cowards in Congress) would not allow them to testify.
If this kind of mob-style lawless jackassery is directed from the top of the pyramid, none of us are safe from the whims of you-know-who.
I think I mentioned this before, but this reminds me not only of Nazism and Stalinism, but especially the Twilight Zone episode "It's a Good Life" based on the 1953 story by Jerome Bixby.
(I don't know enough about The Mule in Asimov's Foundation Trilogy to draw a parallel.)
